Project Linus Blanketeers are Quick to Respond
Friendship Village’s Project Linus volunteers, fondly known as blanketeers responded to a call for help from area shelters for abused women and children. Almost 80 hand-made blankets, afghans and quilts were delivered to the shelters for distribution to people using their services.

Residents Celebrate Oktoberfest at Friendship Village
A gluckliche zeit (good time), was had by all. Friendship Village of Schaumburg celebrated its annual Oktoberfest on Friday, September 23. More than 200 residents attended the fun-filled event.

The Senior Olympians
They sprinted, threw, cast and swung. More than 130 seniors participated in Friendship Village Silver Games 2011 which were co-sponsored by the Schaumburg Park District. Hands Across the Village
On Friday, September 9th, Friendship Village hosted a special event commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9-11, and memorializing those who gave their lives.
